The sister of France star Antoine Griezmann was able to escape the Bataclan concert hall during the coordinated terror attacks in Paris.

As the horror unfolded at the Eagles of Death Metal concert across the city, Griezmann was playing for his country at the Stade de France against Germany.

At least 120 people are believed to have lost their lives across six locations in the French capital during a devastating attack on Friday night.

More than 100 of those dead are believed to have come from the Bataclan concert hall, where music lovers were held hostage at gun point.

Griezmann took to Twitter in the early hours of Saturday morning to confirm that his sister was caught up in the attack - but exited the theatre safely.

Before knowing about the whereabouts of his sister, he tweeted: "Big thought for the victims of the attacks. God takes care of my sister and the French."

But he confirmed three hours later: "Thanks God my sister was able to exit the Bataclan. All my prayers go to the victims and their families."

Griezmann was playing at the Stade de France, where the first attacks of the evening were carried out.

Germany manager Joachim Low has declared himself "shaken and shocked" after the events at the stadium.

"We are at a loss," he said, after hearing the explosions from inside the Stade De France during his side's game with France.

His assistant, Oliver Bierhoff, said: “There was a big uncertainty, a big fear and a strange mood in the locker room.

"It was noticeable, how shocked the players were. They picked up their phones right away to inform themselves or call home."

An explosion could be heard in the stadium during the match and terrified fans gathered on the pitch at the final whistle .

President Francois Hollande was also said to be in attendance at the Stade de France and was evacuated from the stadium.
