The best foods to eat in the morning

Let’s be honest, there is nothing as difficult as making breakfast in the morning especially when you are already late for work.

All you can think about is dressing, probably putting some makeup and before you know it you are flying off the door without munching on anything.

While missing one meal may not mean much to you, missing breakfast is in particular should not be your cup of tea.

Breakfast, being the first meal of the day helps keep your blood sugar up and helps your brain work at its best.

Here are some of the best foods you can eat in the morning to help you kick start your day:

  • Eggs

They are easy to make and fast too. Eggs contain vitamin B6, B12, D and other nutrients that your body needs. Two or three eggs are enough for an average adult and can provide you with the necessary energy you will need to jumpstart your system and start your day.

  • Coffee

Not everyone is a fun of coffee but if you are you know how important that cup is in the morning. Caffeine is a strong stimulant and when it gets into your system, you will be more alert. This way you can perform all your major tasks in the morning when you still have all the energy.

This is the perfect breakfast for you if you have any digestive issues or fear walking in a bloated stomach all day. Other than being the perfect morning cereal, it is also fiber packed, adding a few fruits to your bowl will keep your breakfast more nutritious.

Unlike your usual yoghurt, Greek yoghurt contains a lot of proteins and it will keep your digestive system smooth. The best part is you can top it with some fruits like berries to give it an interesting twist and make it more nutritious.

If you like to keep your mouth busy, have some nuts. Nuts are highly nutritious and will keep you filled up throughout the morning. Meaning you won’t have unnecessary cravings or hunger pangs which might lead to overeating.
