A remarkable footage shows two sisters on a bus beating three men with belts for allegedly molesting them.

The men began by blowing kisses and passing notes to the sisters before making lewd comments and then grabbing them, according to Indian media reports.

The pair - identified only as Aarti and Pooja and of unknown age, asked them to stop before hitting back with belts. The incident happened in Rohtak, an Indian city about 40 miles north west of New Dehli.

One of the alleged victims told Zee News: "We boarded the bus from Rohtak bus stand, this boy started teasing us by trying to give his phone number to us.

"When we protested, he called his friends and they started making obscene gestures. When I walked up to him asking not to make such gestures, he grabbed me by the neck while others held back my sister."

The sisters claim that not only did no-one come to help them, but they were thrown of the bus as it was moving.

Only the belt attack is shown on the clip, apparently filmed by another female passenger on the bus.

The girl's father, Rajesh Kumar, said officials were trying to pressurize them not to pursue the matter.

But according to Zee News, the three men were arrested by police.
