Parsley is a herb that brightens food flavour by adding balance to savory dishes like a smidgen of lemon juice would. A versatile herb, parsley is commonly used as garnish or as spice. Parsley has two main varieties - flat and curly leaf, curly leaf being more popular here.

Parsley has a fresh taste and light scent which is good for soups, salads, sauces and vegetables and makes for healthy tasty dips and spreads.

Parsley is rich in Potassium, Vitamin K, and calcium, all good for bone health. It is also said to boost immunity. Parsley is a superfood packed with loads of nutrients.

A simple way to incorporate parsley into your menu is preparing a dip/spread. You can spread it on toasted bread, grilled meats like t-bone, pan fried steaks, fish and as a dip for crisps, carrot sticks, celery sticks and more.

To keep parsley fresh for a couple of weeks, wash, shake out any excess water, wrap with kitchen paper and seal in a plastic container.
