Turmeric is a must-have in every kitchen. According to research, the ancient spice is most effective when consumed because it has antibacterial, antioxidant, antiviral and antiseptic properties among many other benefits.
The brightly coloured spice can heal the body of so many ailments such as high cholesterol, cancer, arthritis and help boost the body’s immune system. All this is to say that you need to stock up your pantry with some turmeric.

Turmeric can be incorporated into your diet in so many ways. You can add it to hot and cold beverages, sprinkle some on cooked food, cook stews with it, add colour to meals and so on. Do be careful when handling turmeric because it can easily stain most things it comes into contact with.
To give your body a shot of nutrients, here is one of four immune-boosting turmeric shot recipes from shared on auntynimu.com. Simply blend together a teaspoon of turmeric, a thumb of ginger, juice of one lemon and juice of one orange. Strain the mixture and quickly throw back the shot to avoid slowly sipping the highly concentrated concoction.
