Cooking at home may seem boring and an easy way out but in the real sense it actually increases your bond as a family, after all it is Father’s day.

And with the pandemic still looming in the shadows and people social distancing, it would be much safer for you and your family to spend quality time in the privacy of your home.

If you are wondering what you can cook for your husband on this special day, here are some ideas of meals you could try:

Nothing beats any Swahili dish like pilau, it is easy to prepare and can be served on its own.

Let’s all be honest, nothing beats Swahili dishes when it comes to sharing amazing meals with your family and friends. It is easy to prepare and it won’t take up much of your time, you will enjoy family time as much as you will be cooking.

All you will need is a side dish of kachumbari and your meal is as good as ready.

  • Mashed potatoes and meatballs

Yes, it is as mouthwatering as it sounds and the time it will take you to prepare will be all worth it in the end. This is one easy and fast meal that is both favourable for adults and children.

The combo was definitely a match made in heaven and there is just a way meatballs make the gravy thicker and more lustrous to the tongue.

If you want to make this meal even juicier, make the fish tilapia and add some coconut sauce and kachumbari on the side, you won’t regret it.
