Men of this generation are the reason young women are dating ‘sponsors’.

Im sitting with a couple of girlfriends talking about random things but one thing keeps coming up....Men of our generation. And i am thinking, this just can’t be sheer coincedence. Talk to any girl who has had the displeasure (pun-intended) of dating this men born in the 80s and 90s and trust me you, 3 out of 5 will tell you how hard it was to keep the relationship.

See, this  is a group of men who think and demand  to be treated like real men..read (our fathers and grandfathers) but they can’t do half what real men do. These sons of women will move in to your house, occupy your space, use your electricity, heck! Use even your deodrant and when its over (the deodrant), they have the audacity to tell you “Babe, deodrant imeisha... si utabuy ingine?) . Catch them dead treating you to an eat out dinner. All their cash (if they have any) is chanelled towards betting..you know, Sportpesa and the like.

These men behave like children. Literally .. catch him cheating and he is going to deny, deny and even cry.. yeah!! Men of nowadays cry like small babies. They will cry and they expect you to sooth them . They are the kind that will sulk and whimp the whole night if they come home in the evening  and you do not ask them how their day was.

They will whine for days if you treat their mothers in a way they deem inappropriate. Take for instance, not so long ago, a friend’s son was celebrating his 5th birthday. The husband cleverly distanced himself from all the party arrangements. My friend, being the superhero mum she is, went ahead and got the son a big birthday cake a day prior to the birthday. Her husband came home at night, saw the cake but did not even talk about it to the wife or son. No, he had other ideas. He called his mom (my friend’s mother-in-law) and invited her for the birthday because there was a huge cake to celebrate. Remember his wife has no idea about all this..she had invited her son’s friends to come and celebrate the birthday.

So, the folowing day which was the birthday, hubby wakes up, prepares and leaves for work. Remember he didn’t inform the wife that the mother-in-law would be popping in for the birthdaycake (like he had bought it). Anyway, my friend gets up later and goes on her business till around noon when mother-in-law pops up. My friend, thinking that the mom-in-law knows nothing about the birthday cake, treats her to other foods and refreshments . She actually isn’t mean, she just did not want to cut the cake yet because the birthday boy was not around and also his (birthday boy’s) friends had not yet  arrived for the party. To add to that, my friend tried convincing the visitor to stay a little longer but she insisted that she was in a hurry and left immediately after the meal.

Lo and behold, it’s like she phoned the son right away and ranted about how she did not get to eat the birthday cake. You do not want to know what happened after that.. My friend’s husband has been on that topic for months now..even went to the extent of calling my friend’s mum teling her how her daughter is mean she can’t share a piece of cake. And i am inoccently thinking.. ‘Do you even know how much the damn cake cost??’..

I could go on and on about men of this generation but i choose to stop. But please if you know who bewitched them, please share with me. I really need the answers. I can unapologetically state that these same men are the ones pushing young girls to date the infamous sponsors.
