I am the girl sleeping with your boyfriend

I came across this article the other day that was politely titled, "I am the girl sleeping with your boyfriend." And as I read, it hit me, a lot of people, society in general get it so wrong.

Having the label "side chick" comes with its own mini labels, you become the gold-digger, the "whore", homewrecker, the thirsty Becky and you become the girl who can't get her own man. True?

People turn on you so fast and that might not even be the case. See, the other girl/side chick is simply a girl your man went for, she is not a succubus hell-bent on ruining your life, and I can bet that a lot of us have been the side chick, or side dude at one point or the other.

I have seen girls being perceived as the evil girl who stole the other girls dude when that wasn't even the case. The guy approached her and she simply went with it- perhaps for sexual reasons?

What if everyone got it wrong: She was just the girl who liked a guy who was taken, she never wanted to date him or wish him to break up his relationship, she mostly wanted his company, then the sex just happened as a bonus!

She never sat down and plotted the girlfriend’s demise or hoped for some dramatic end to that relationship, she actually hoped his relationship would last.

She was a good girl, she just happened to be the girl sleeping with her boyfriend.
