It's not just little Clayon Jagger who benefits from his mum's breast milk.

Mum Si Si Shoffman has found an enterprising way to use up her breast milk - as part of her skin routine.

We've all heard the old wives tale 'breast is best' and blogger Si-Si has now dubbed her breast milk "liquid gold"

The 30-year-old shared the advice on her Instagram page where she talked about her skincare routine.

She urged her fellow mum's and mum's-to-be to add it to their routine, the Daily Record reports.

The 30-year-old used her colostrum - the milk your breasts produce in the first few days after birth.

The liquid is normally golden and it is very common for the fluid to start leaking during pregnancy.

In a video, Si-Si said: "Why, I used my own colostrum on my face?!

"Attention all mamas and mamas to be...it's called liquid gold for a reason. Get that liquid gold on your face!"

She then went on to list the various benefits she claims breast milk brings.

"It's magically anti-inflammatory. It stimulates the production of normal healthy skin bacteria, which will fight any problematic bacteria (almost like your own natural probiotic).

"It can topically help any hormonal imbalances when applied on the skin.

"It naturally contains growth factors which essentially make the skin regenerate meaning it's anti ageing..."

Si-Si continued: "So you may think ... SHE IS CRAZY ... for applying that to her face....?My response is: you are for not.”

After applying the breast milk with a syringe, the mum then used a moisturiser on top.

Lots of her followers thanked her for the unusual skincare advice.

One wrote: "Aww I LOVE this and didn't know that."

Another added: "That’s really interesting!! Fab."

A third joked: "Well at least it’s not going to waste."

A fourth commented: "Whoa that’s quite interesting I didn’t know about that! Will keep in mind for when the time comes."
