There are tonnes of things you can do with white vinegar. Number one on my list? It is a fantastic disinfectant and it cuts grease like you have never seen. It is also a deodoriser and can be used for cooking/baking and more.
In the kitchen, white vinegar is a must-have ingredient. Mix one or two tablespoons of white vinegar in 2 litres of water, then soak your fruits or vegetables in the solution for 30 minutes to an hour. The vinegar will work on any germs found on fruits and vegetables. A vinegar rinse will also leave your dishes and glasses sparkling clean.
In the rest of the house, white vinegar comes in handy for cleaning showerheads, taps, the microwave, cooker and more. Put white vinegar in a spray bottle, sprinkle scouring powder on the surface to be cleaned then spray it. Leave it for about 30 mins to an hour and thereafter wash it off with water.
With all that can be done with white vinegar, you would think it has a high price tag. White vinegar is available in just about any supermarket for only Sh70 for 700ml to Sh400 for 500ml depending on brand.
