I cook chips once a week. For the longest time, I dreaded this day because it took a while to peel enough potatoes for chips for my family. It got to the point where I would just wash the potatoes and use my chips cutter to cut the potatoes with the skin on and fry them (unpeeled potatoes – we have come to enjoy them).
Last month, I received a package with a note asking me to try out a potato peeler and give a review. I am still asking myself why it didn’t come earlier. The gadget is a time saver! If you have seen the commercial potato peelers they use in large hotels and restaurants, this is a small tabletop version of the same.
It is easy to use and operate. It has a bowl where you add a little water and no more than 5-6 medium-sized potatoes, cover and press the start button. The rotating stainless steel blades quickly peel your potatoes, and within 2-4 minutes, the potatoes are peeled and ready for cooking.
