Why you should quit dieting

Most women have been on a diet at some point in their lives. Generally, diets only work short-term, if at all, but they have long-term psychological effects. Even when you are not dieting, you may still have a dieting mentality and have guilt associated with food.

Intuitive eating is simply listening to your body to decide what, when and how much to eat. It sounds simple but it is not. Most of us have a terrible relationship with food. We no longer recognise hunger cues, exacerbated by scheduled eating, dieting and an abundance mentality. We have to re-learn satiation, recognise how our body responds to certain foods and let go of emotional hang-ups around food.

Intuitive eating helps you redefine your relationship with food, no longer classing foods as good or bad, but simply accepting that food is both nourishing and enjoyable.
