As 2021 comes to an end, we truly give thanks for making it through the year in one piece.
Although it’s not been easy, we can all name a couple of things we have learnt like new styling tips, better hair care regimens and basically anything that has made our lives better.
One thing we can’t leave behind is bag essentials.
We know of the common needs like your wallet, Identification Card and driver’s license, but there are other items that will tremendously improve your new year.
Consider adding these five items to your 2022 bag:
- Wet wipes
Wet wipes usually come through in so many ways. You can give your feet a quick wipe if you’ve been somewhere dusty during the day, wipe off sauce stains that landed on your clothes by mistake and you can also give yourself a refreshing dab if you feel a little sweaty.

In short, wet wipes should never be forgotten.
You can buy a small pack of wipes that can easily fit in your mini bag or buy the individually separated ones and carry a few at a time.
- Pocket tissues
Imagine going for a short call in a washroom that doesn’t have any tissue then you realize that you don’t have some in your bag. What a disaster!
There are definitely many situations that come up when you need some tissue ASAP so a lady must never leave the house without some in her bag.
Always have some pocket tissues or roll some from home before you leave the house.

- Mints
Bad breath is an instant turn off. Right now, it can be masked a little bit because we wear face masks all day but a stench can be noticed even from miles away.
During the day, you won’t always have the chance to brush your teeth or gargle mouthwash.
A quick and effective hack is to have some mints. You can try xylitol mints that can help protect your oral health while keeping your breath fresh at the same time.
- Emergency nail cutter
At times, we leave the house in a hurry. You might look bomb from head to toe except your nails.
Shabby looking nails never look good and you never know when you will be caught off guard. Sometimes your nail might even split unexpectedly and you need a temporary fix in the meantime.
In your bag, keep a small nail kit with a nail cutter and file to help you look your best at all times.
- Pad/tampon/panty liners
These are at the top of the list all year round. We aren’t always in control of what our bodies do and how they react, which is a good reason to carry these essentials.
The good thing is that we have access to cute bags where you can carefully store them in your bag without exposing them to dirt and bacteria.
Carry at least one pad or tampon or a party-liner in case you need them. Also, you might be able to help someone else in an emergency at one point.
