The recently crowned Miss tourism Siaya county Claris Okello has landed herself a job in the county government.
Governor Cornel Rasanga instructed Tourism Executive Charles Akello to find a placement in the department for the reigning beauty.
“You must now set achievable objectives for the county. We have made an investment in you and the public will demand explanations from me,” Rasanga told Ms Akello.
Akello, 24, won the title and scooped Sh100,000 after defeating 13 other participants in the contest and will now represent the county in the national finals to be held later this year. She will also serve as the county tourism ambassador for the next one year.
The first runners up was Dorothy Oinga from Rarieda sub-county.
