When we think about all the things our mothers have done for us, we can’t help but wonder the same thing. The sacrifice, raising children on almost non-existent incomes, doing chores upon endless chores for years and years, turning hair-raisingly stubborn children into classy ladies and gentlemen — it almost seems like magic.
This Mother’s Day, we celebrate our own mothers, those who are still with us, the young mothers and the dearly departed. That’s why Eve came together with our partners, Cate Chris Ltd, Ashleys Coiffure & Spa, Voyager Beach Resort, Wow Beverages, Johnie Waithaka Photography, Extra Dimensions and iGabantu to give as many mothers as possible a chance to be pampered.
We held a competition asking our fans to submit photos in three categories #CelebratingYoungMothers for women who posed with their children, #MyMotherMyAll for those who wanted to tell the world how amazing their mothers are and #MothersinHeaven for those whose mothers are now watching us from up above.
The winners in the first two categories, each won two nights at the Voyager Beach resort. Those whose votes put them in second place won a full studio and outdoor photoshoot by Johnie Waithaka Photography (the lens behind our fabulous Mothers Day cover). The next nine winners will be treated to a full make-over that entails getting their hair done, a manicure, pedicure and massage by Ashleys. Each of the lucky winners will also take home a bottle of wine from Wow Beverages.
