A total of 2, 589, 741 out of the targeted 27, 246, 033 people have been vaccinated, the Ministry of Health says.
According to the Ministry, this represents 3.2 per cent of the adult population.
In the ministry's daily statement on Covid-19, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said they had administered 3,461,056 doses so far, 2,589,741 of them being first doses and 871,315 second doses.
"Only 33.6 per cent of the targeted population has received their first dose," Kagwe's statement read in part.
This comes at a time when another 402 have tested positive of the virus in the last 24 hours, from a sample size of 6, 712.
This represents a positivity rate of 6.0 per cent.
Total Covid-19 cases are now 247, 358.

However, 259 Covid-19 patients have shown signs of recovery; 182 from home-based care and 77 discharged from various health facilities.
This brings the total number of recoveries to 238, 707.
Some ten more have succumbed to the virus, bringing the total fatalities to 5, 018.
Nairobi still records majority of the cases (84), followed closely by Makueni 57, Nakuru 28, Kiambu 22 as other counties had less than 20 new infections in the last 24 hours.
