38 year-old South African musician Mduduzi Tshabalala better known as Mandoza passed on Sunday, the 19th, after a year long battle with cancer.
Mduduzi Tshabalala died while waiting for an ambulance in the arms of his longtime friend and manager Kevin Ntaopane
His last performance was at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto where he strived to perform till the end despite his deterioriating health condition.
Tshabalala’s battle with cancer had eventually led to him losing his sight.
Tributes started flowing in after news of his passing were announced including South African DJ Oskido who was playing in Kenya at the 14th edition of Koroga festival, and asked the crowd to have a moment of silence in his memory.
He will be remembered for hit songs including fifty fifty, Tornado, respect life, sgelekeqe and Niyachoma.
