When it comes to performances, Willy Paul is sparing no energies! At yesterday’s Groove Awards 2015 gala, during which Groove celebrated 10 years, he was all ready and set for his performances 30 minutes before it kicked off.
And No! His wasn’t the normal kind of performance. This one was adrenaline filled with the kind of adventure that only few would dare to live up to.
Braced with impressive back up dancers and Size 8 with whom they would be performing Tam Tam, Willy Paul got to stage by the cameraman cranes which airlifted him from one corner of the gymnasium to the stage. All this time a spotlight was cast on him while up on the crane till he got to the stage.
Albeit, slightly uncertain of how safe he would be up on that crane, Willy Paul was determined to put up a worthwhile and memorable performance, which he did.
Asked whether he wasn’t scared of falling off the crane Willy Paul told SDE that “Some of these things are all about courage, and being the best at what I do. I believe that God’s got me every time I try to pull these stunts so I do them with confidence.”
This was yet another of his out of the box performance stunts after his first at the Groove’s New year party where he emerged from beneath the performance stage.
