Four easy steps to shedding that weekend fat


Holidays are great for unwinding, catching up with friends and connecting with family but the long days spent eating, drinking and lazing around can quickly pile on the pounds. 

Shed that holiday weight with this high intensity cardio workout to drop those added inches.

1. Sprints 

Choose a length that is long enough to keep your pace high but not so long that you burn out too early. Sprint as fast as you can from one end to the other, pumping your arms and knees, then jog slowly back. Repeat for ten rounds.

2. Leap frogs

Starting in a squat, jump from one end to the other without stopping. Stay low throughout and always land in a squat. Repeat for four rounds.

3. Box jumps

Jump up onto a raised surface like a bench or low table, landing in a squat. Jump back down and leap straight back up without pausing at the bottom. Repeat 15 times.

4. Burpees

Starting from standing, place your hands onto the ground then jump your feet back into a plank. Jump back forward towards your hands then leap up in the air. Repeat 15 times.
