Meet woman who claims she can feel the dead and connect them with their families

Driving along the road Laura Lynne Jackson was already stressed and finally pulled over when the kids started competing for attention and talking over each other.

But anyone looking into Laura's parked car asking them to calm down might have thought she had gone mad. For Laura was chastising youngsters who weren't there.

She says her 'children' were the spirits of between ten and 15 dead youngsters desperate to communicate with their living parents.

Mum-of-three Laura is one of the world's leading psychics and says she was on her way to meet a group of parents all desperate to reach their children on the 'Other Side' when the dead spirits broke through.

Laura, whose ability has been scientifically tested, said: "I didn't actually see the children because that's not how it works.

"I felt their energy in the car with me and then came words, descriptions and images of all the things they wanted to share with the parents I was about to meet.

"They were conveying messages such as tell them I am still here, tell them I am still part of their lives and there were so many I had to tell them to slow down. I couldn't keep up with them.

"There was such love pouring from them. Whenever I communicate with children they come across with such vibrancy and love.

"They don't want those they have left behind to feel sad. They want them to live life with the same vibrancy and liveliness that they did."

Laura went on to her meeting with parents and passed on the messages, leaving them stunned.

She today told how she has been blessed with psychic abilities since she was a child - an ability that frightened her at first.

The American psychic and medium was just 11 when she discovered the strength of her abilities.

Her mum was going to visit Laura's grandfather when she was seized by a sense of panic and insisted she went too. It was the last time she ever saw him alive.

A few years later, she had a dream a group of friends were carrying the coffin of a close friend, John Moncello. The next night a pal called to say Jon had fallen from a fire escape and died.

Laura said: "My ability frightened me then. I didn't know why I had it and didn't know why anyone would want it if you knew when loved ones were about to die. It was something that scared me."

But over the years Laura has come to accept her 'gift' and even insisted on scientific testing of her brain at the Windbridge Institute for Applied Research in Human Potential in Arizona, where experts research such phenomena.

English teacher Laura said: "They've found my frontal lobe, responsible for problem solving, language, memory, etc, totally quietens down during readings, like I'm in a deep meditative state, yet I'm wide awake and talking."

Laura says while she doesn't see dead people she is able to feel them around her during readings and the deliver messages through signals and pictures on a 'screen'.

"In my minds eye I see a screen, something like a whiteboard, on which messages are delivered," she says.

"I guess those on the other side are relating to me as a teacher and showing messages in the context of my life. Being a teacher they have chosen a chalk-type board.

"At first they seem to shout out to let their loved one know they are there, give them a signal that it's them.

"For instance, If they liked playing the piano when they were alive I might see a picture of their fingers hitting the keys.

"Or if they were a teacher, I might see an apple. I have to work out what they are trying to say.

"Then comes a message for whoever I'm reading too and it comes the same way, through a message or picture.

"For instance, I once read to a mother whose child was shot. First I felt the child's presence and then the board appeared in my minds eye. I was shown a picture of a gun and I knew that's how they had died.

"The child then showed me such a bright, golden light which showed how much love there was between mother and child. Then I was shown kind of legal documents. The child was trying to tell me that they were working with the parent to make changes in legislation on gun laws.

"Of course, it all comes in a matter of moments, in pictures and messages which flash by, almost like in an old cinema reel."
