Mum and daughter 'twins' are blowing people's minds as no one can tell who the parent is

It's normal for children to look like their parents - sharing similar features and eye/hair colour.

But one mum and daughter from Georgia in the US look so alike that people are struggling to tell them apart.

Stacie Simon and her daughter Madison have been making TikTok videos and viewers think they could be twins.

The mum, who is in her 40s, says she doesn't understand why people mistake her for her 16-year-old daughter, as they "don't see" the striking resemblance.

In one recent clip, the pair wore matching striped jumpers and denim shorts, and with their long, straight blonde hair and big smiles people were baffled as they tried to work out who was the parent.

They captioned the post: "Aren’t you that mother/daughter duo that people think are twins?"

The TikTok video garnered over one million views and has been liked more than 114,000 times.

Hundreds of people also commented on it to share their confusion, with some saying their likeness was "mind-blowing".

One person said: "Wow, I can’t figure out which is mum."

Another wrote: "I’ve watched this 10 times trying to figure out which one was the mum had to come to the comments to find out."

A third replied: "God literally did a copy and paste."

A fourth posted: "To say I was shocked in the resemblance is an understatement aha! Twins!"

Someone else added: "For sure, you’re twins."

Stacie later put everyone out of their misery and admitted she was on the left in the colourful jumper video and Madison is on the right.

The parent also replied to one commenter who thought they were twins, saying: "We get it all the time but we don’t see it."
