News anchor Victoria Rubadiri has tested negative for COVID-19 after a number of her colleagues got infected by the virus.

Confirming her status, Rubadiri reiterated that she would be more careful and continue to observe protocols so as to keep those around her safe.

"I was tested for COVID-19 earlier this week and thankfully, the results came back negative,” she revealed.

“Even though it is good news, I still need to live as if I am positive to keep the ones I love, and work with and randomly interact with safe.”

Rubadiri’s co-host Jeff Koinange and her colleague Stephen Letoo both tested positive for the novel coronavirus and have since gone into isolation.

Folks, just to let you know, I have tested POSITIVE for Covid-19. I'm doing Good..NO symptoms...and my Family is fine. All my close contacts have been informed. Right now I'm in self isolation. Rubadiri’s disclosure comes only a day after Kenyan celebrities were encouraged to come out and publicly pronounce their COVID-19 statuses; a move to help destigmatize the deadly virus.

“I think it’s a positive thing when people in high office or who are celebrities or in media come out and pronounce their status. That is one way to destigmatize the disease,” Ministry of Health Cabinet Assistant Secretary Rashid Aman said on Tuesday, 21st July 2020 during the daily COVID-19 briefings.

If you could pick only one person to live with forever who would it be?
