Jana?e Michelle is a body-positive fitness influencer who runs This Curvy Life, a platform dedicated to promoting healthy living.

In March 2019, she discovered, at a doctor’s appointment, that she weighed 177kgs. The revelation was a big shock and although she knew it was time to make a change, she sunk into a depression, eating more and gaining more weight.

Then one day when she woke up in the morning, she decided to go to the gym. She walked on the treadmill for an hour. She continued doing this every morning for 5-7 days a week, slowly incorporating free weights and body weights.

“When I started working out, slowly my spirit started to mend itself, my depression started to slip away, and when I look in the mirror, I’m proud of the changes that happened inside that no one else could see,” says Jana?e.

Janae encourages anyone struggling to lose weight to change their mindset and remain consistent.
