Like a financial audit, a life audit is a way of taking stock of our lives. It helps you see what you’re doing with your life, where you’re headed, and how that ties in with your goals and dreams.
Start by determining what areas of your life you want to audit. Examples could be family, health, skills, productivity, relationships etc. Basically, any part of your life can be audited.
Compile your data using a list of questions you can either prepare yourself or find online. There is no one way of doing it but ultimately you want to score yourself on all areas. You can ask a friend to co-audit you if you need to.
Life audit’s often reveal more than one area that need addressing so once you have determined what these are, it is important to create an action plan, prioritizing the most important and laying out specific remedies.
Life audits can be daunting but ultimately the goal is self-improvement through self-reflection.
