Our skin is one of the most important elements of beauty. Whether we admit it or not, we’d all want to have clear and flawless looking skin with or without make up.

Not an impossibility, you must be willing to put in some work. Remember, nothing good comes easy.

There are certain key elements that need to be considered in order to have young and vibrant looking skin. Below are some amazing tips that can guide you on getting that clear skin we all aspire to.

i. Do your homework

Before we start, you need to understand that we all have different skin types that respond to products differently. What is your skin type? This should be your first question. Some people have dry skin and others oily skin, or even a combination of the two. Find out where you fall.

Due to our different skin types, your skin might be fond of certain beauty products more than others. If you feel like foundation is too heavy for you, you can opt for a BB or even CC cream depending on what your skin needs. On the same note, take time to learn how to apply your make up properly.

Trust me it makes all the difference when you learn how to draw natural looking brows without doing too much. Select natural toned eye shadows in order to give you the ‘no makeup make up look.’ This is a great way to achieve a subtle and natural look.

ii. Get into a skin care routine

In this day and age of fast communication, you have no excuse not to be in the know. With so many videos and posts about skin care routines, put them to good use. After finding out what your skin problems are, look for product reviews. However, this does not mean that every single one will also work on you. It’s a hit or miss thing. You can start small with a simple cleanser, toner, moisturizer and sun screen.

Keep in mind that a routine doesn’t always have to include a thousand steps. Keep it short and be aware of ingredients that may react with your skin.

iii. Scrub occasionally

Scrubbing is one of the key steps to getting flawless skin. Scrubs exfoliate the skin giving it a brighter appearance. Dead cells and other blemishes make the skin look dull so this is a great way to get a more refreshed look. There are so many types of scrubs that you have access to. Whether you prefer homemade or pre-made scrubs, you’ll be able to get great results.

iv. Good diet

It goes without saying that what you consume affects how your skin looks. If you have a diet only consisting of fatty and oily foods, you’re likely to experience breakouts. If you don’t drink enough water, you’ll never give your skin a chance to be at its best. Clear your skin from the inside out by incorporating water, healthy foods and fruits like bananas and carrots that have powerful antioxidant properties. The truth is, it will be much harder to get clear skin without embracing a healthy lifestyle so you better get on with the program.

v. Supplements

Supplements are a great way to boost your overall look. There are many brands in stores that have been designed to boost your skin care routine. Some supplements contain powerful elements such as zinc and different vitamins that boost your skin. If you are open to trying some supplements consult your doctor first. Besides, he or she will also be in a better position to guide you on which will work best for your skin.
