Mid-year crisis
The year is settling in well but your fitness and health resolutions aren't. They are already lying forgotten in a drawer and you're barely even a quarter way through the year.
Prioritise your health with these four simple steps.
1. Write down manageable goals. Don't overwhelm yourself with huge numbers. Break down larger goals into smaller targets and create realistic timelines.
2. Make a precise plan, write it down, and if need be, calendar it and set reminders. The more defined, the less likely you are to veer from it.
3. Reward yourself. Plan a treat for yourself for each target you hit. This can be a massage, new sports clothes, a rest day or simply some relaxation time. Gear your rewards to reinforce your goals.
4. Celebrate yourself. Embrace who you are at every stage of the journey. Seeing it as a lifestyle change will produce better, longer-term results.
