Nagging won’t get your man back

Relationships

I am not a theologist and I do not read the Holy Book as frequently as my mama wants but I am privy to a few scenarios in there.

I know of one woman Eve, who got a man so brilliant he could name all the species of the animals and plants to disobey God. Nothing to gloat about but hey, she did have the very first, that orgasmic “I got him” moment. Then there was this socialite equivalent known as Delilah, my oh my, what a seductress!

She literally disarmed Sammy, the strongest man on earth. Meanwhile, all Uriah’s wife had to do was bathe on the roof in broad day light and King David, the most faithful servant of God, joined team “Fisi.”

No, these women did not get those men dancing to their tunes by bickering, whining, nagging et al’. They did so by being nice, sweet, adorable, mastering the art of seduction even after winning the man.

As a woman, it is rewarding to fathom that you can get your man to be monogamous and have eyes for only you. Not only that, you can literally make him a better person by disarming him with charm... Hapana, not juju, but by your deeds.

Embarrass that man with kindness and virtuousness, make him ashamed of being anything short of who he is supposed to be as a husband, provider and friend by showing him how things are supposed to be done.

You are endowed with all the paraphernalia and the potential to keep your man, all you have to do is unleash it. It is somewhere trapped and chocking between your feminine ego, trying to be the modern woman and that is why our mother and grandmothers marriages lasted and survived the test of time.

Growing up, I knew of a drunkard who would drink every evening. His wife used to work on peoples’ shambas and do other menial chores for villagers just so her children would eat. Sometimes the husband would get so drunk that he could not get home.

The woman would tag her children along to the drinking den and they would carry the man home. Not once did we hear her mock her husband especially in public although his actions no doubt had shamed her.

Today’s woman, on the other hand does not know how to win a man without silicon butts and breasts. Neither does she comprehend that shouting herself horse, screaming and nagging or intimidating him solves nothing.

Does he come home late? Open the door with a smile and warm his food. Seen him flirting? Tell him to use protection if he has to cheat. Me thinks such actions would get him ashamed of misbehaving and he will begin doing the right thing.

Yapping about what a failure he is at the salon is childish to say the least. Remember when you were dating, you went out of your way to see a smile on his face.

Get your groove back and remind him with actions over and over again why he made an impeccable decision when he chose to marry you. Get out of your comfort zone and make things happen.
