Despite breaking his shocks and losing brakes in Kedong', Kenya's Carl Tundo is determined to make a podium finish at this year's World Rally Championships (WRC) Safari Rally.

Tundo said the predicament he got at Kedong on Friday had made him lose a couple of minutes resulting in him losing the lead after the first flag-off.

He, however, said it had made him stronger.

When asked to explain what Kenyans didn't know about him, Tundo jokingly said "I'm left handed".

He said he has two children - a son and a daughter all aged 11 and 10 years.

"My son also wants to follow in my footsteps as a rally driver, which definitely he has to be supported," said the former rally champion.

On his hobbies, Tundo said: "My main hobby is that I like spending most of my time with my family".

Tundo is also a fun of music as he loves all sorts of music so long as they are good.

"I'm a fun of all sorts of music including Rhumba and country music. I like good music but not any music," he said.
