Some 194 people in Kenya have tested positive for Covid-19 from a sample size of 1,799 tested in the last 24 hours.
The country’s positivity rate is now at 10.9 per cent. From the positive cases, 184 are Kenyans while 10 are foreigners.
The youngest positive case is a nine-year-old child while the oldest is a 90-year-old individual.
This pushes the total positive cases recorded to 156,981, with the cumulative tests conducted so far at 1,646,988.

A total of 248 patients have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, 218 from Home Based Care and Isolation while 30 are from health facilities across the country.
Total recoveries are now 106,836, with 77,822 from Home Based Care and Isolation and 29,014 from health facilities.
On a sad note, 21 death have been reported in the last 24 hours – one in the last 24 and 20 on diverse dates within the last one month.
Total cumulative fatalities now stand at 2,643.
1,147 patients are currently admitted in health facilities across the country while 6,959 are on Home Based and Isolation care. Another 205 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 42 of whom are on ventilator support and 133 on supplemental oxygen. 30 more are still on observation.
Another 176 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen, with 163 in the General wards and 16 in the High Dependency Units (HDU).
As of April 26, a total of 826,617 people have been vaccinated.
Nairobi leads with the highest number of vaccinated persons (256,282) followed by Nakuru (54,022), Kiambu (44,876), Uasin Gishu (40,040) and Nyeri (31,251).
Counties with the lowest number of vaccinated persons as of today include Wajir (2,014), Garissa (1,983), Isiolo (1,438, Tana River (732), Lamu (592) and Marsabit (546).
