President-elect William Ruto has defended his victory in the August 9 election, saying he defeated Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leader Raila Odinga fair and square.
Dr Ruto, who was declared winner with 50.49 per cent of the votes, turned the heat on his opponent by accusing Raila of not being willing to accept the presidential results.
"He has consistently for the last 30 years been involved in disputing presidential election results and fomenting national crises after losing. He is only using the court to force the winner to share power through an extra-constitutional measure known as the handshake," said Ruto.
