Azimio la Umoja One Kenya captain Raila Odinga has said his legal team will today file a petition challenging president-elect William Ruto's win.

Addressing faithful at Jesus Teaching Ministry in Donholm, Nairobi, yesterday, Raila who was joined by Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and area MP-elect Babu Owino said that their journey of finding the truth about the just concluded presidential election will commence today at the Supreme Court.

"The truth is going to be known because we know it ourselves and we are going to show it wide and open starting tomorrow," said Raila.

Quoting former South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Raila stated that without truth, there can be no justice, without justice, there can be no peace and without peace, there can be no reconciliation.

At the same time, he criticised President-elect William Ruto's decision to woo leaders of some Azimio affiliate parties in a bid to boost his numbers in Parliament and Council of Governors.

On Saturday, Mandera Senator-elect Ali Roba's United Democratic Movement (UDM) severed ties with Azimio and signed a post-election agreement with the Kenya Kwanza Alliance. Roba moved with seven MPs and two governors to Ruto's camp.

"You can see the looters trying to run away, trying to bribe, trying to coerce, trying to blackmail and intimidate but the spirit of the great people of Kenya cannot be muzzled," said Raila.

Kalonzo bashed the electoral agency for alleged incompetence in the General Election and postponement of the Kakamega and Mombasa governor elections and parliamentary elections in Kitui Rural, Kacheliba, Pokot South, and Rongai constituencies.

"This General Election is not over because what is happening in Mombasa, Kakamega and the four constituencies in West Pokot and Kitui clearly tells Kenyans that the body charged with the responsibility of conducting elections ends up short-changing the whole country," said the Wiper leader.

Even though elections in the said regions would not have any consequence on the presidential election results, Karua who argued that it will be wrong to swear in elected leaders when other Kenyans have not exercised their right to vote for their leaders.

"Without justice, there can be no lasting peace because justice is the foundation of lasting peace and all we are seeking is justice but for all those things to happen we need God," she said.

The Azimo presidential running mate alleged that the delay by the IEBC to conduct elections in the different regions is an attempt to have them lose grip on their support bases.

"Today we would be priding ourselves with 24 governors. The elections are being delayed so that our base can lose its foundation and morale but we know our base will be strong despite the delay," said Karua.

Raila's team has expressed confidence that they have enough evidence to overturn Ruto's win.
