"I love you. And listen, no matter who you are, if your kid comes out, you love 'em. It's your job. You're the parent.'

Jill is an outspoken advocate for the LGBTQ+ community has another older transgender son named Charlie.

Jill has shared updates about her son's journey and revealed how he is 'much much happier' since embracing his true gender.

She has offered advice to other parents of transgender or LGBTQ+ children and says they should be supported no matter what.

"If you tell somebody when they come out that you don't believe that they're old enough to know their own sexuality or their gender, or that they're just going through a phase and they don't realise it, what they hear is that you don't support them."

"That you don't believe that they're intelligent enough to know who they are and how they feel. That you have no validation for their feelings. And that your love for them is conditional.

"As they get older, they're gonna tell you less and less, be around you less and less, and eventually you may not have a relationship with them.

"That may be your path, that may be would you choose, and I feel sorry for you.'

"You are never too young to know your gender and your sexuality," she added.
