Security officials in Kakamega county have decried the increase in insecurity and deaths caused by a disco matanga at funerals, vowing to go after the bereaved family for allowing it to take place.
Five people were killed at a funeral last week, according to police. Authorities say they will be going for the bereaved family who organised the night dance. They will be held responsible for any death and insecurity cases.
Despite the county's ban on disco matanga, Kakamega County Commissioner John Ondego said Navakholo constituency leads in the number of deaths and insecurity cases caused by disco matanga.
