While Kenya’s Kibera slum residents have been known for doing the impossible; uprooting a railway line, this might sound like a scene straight out of a Wild West movie.
A South African train has derailed after a piece of the rail was allegedly stolen, SA’s News 24 website reported.
According to reports, The Phelophepa Healthcare train, which is the world's largest healthcare train derailed between Carolina and Waterval-Boven in Mpumalanga at 10.00am.
Reports indicate that the train’s driver saw the missing piece of rail and reduced speed, with no injuries being reported.
