Five foods that will make you look younger and leave your skin glowing

One’s skin starts aging as soon as one clocks 20. Every day, there is a new product that hits the shelves, promising to make you look younger than before.

But are these expensive remedies necessary? The solution is in what you eat.  Here are six foods that will keep you skin fresh and younger:

Coconut oil

Coconut oil has lots of benefits and skin-wise it reduces wrinkles. This is because it contains vitamin E that helps fight the free radicals on the skin.

Apply a thin layer every night and wash it off in the morning. If you are not sure about the application, use it when cooking.

Lemons

Lemon is full of natural anti-oxidants which helps in repairing damaged skin cells. It is enriched with Vitamin C that fights bacteria and viruses in the body effectively. The vitamin C produces a molecule called collagen that fight the wrinkles.

Simply, drink lemon water twice in a day and if it feels too sour add some honey to sweeten it.

Turmeric

One of the major causes of aging skin is the sun exposure because it brings about freckling, reduced skin elasticity and discoloration. Turmeric comes in as a key ingredient that prevents the sun damage. It is known to prevent the adverse effects of exposure to ultraviolet B radiation.

Sprinkle turmeric in your food, drinks or curries.

Celery

Celery comprises of water which prevents dry skin. It’s enriched with potassium, vitamin C and A that protect the skin from free radicals. The potassium is used to regulate fluid levels, keep the skin moist and glowing.

 Walnuts

Walnuts contain omega 3 that strengthen the membranes of the skin cells which locks in moisture and nutrients that destroy toxins.

They are also enriched with fats that keeps your skin soft and hydrated.
