Easy recipe: Barbecue pork ribs

Looking for a recipe that will leave you drooling and craving for more? Look no further! Today, I'll be sharing with you a mouth-watering recipe for barbecue pork ribs.

Get ready to fire up your grill and let's dive into the world of irresistible barbecue pork ribs!

Ingredients:

- Two racks of pork ribs

- Two tablespoons brown sugar

- Two teaspoons paprika

- Two teaspoons of chilli powder

- One teaspoon of garlic powder

- One teaspoon of onion powder

- One teaspoon salt

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- One cup of barbecue sauce

Instructions:

Start by removing the membrane from the backside of the ribs. This will help the flavours penetrate better. Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.

In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, chilli powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. This will be your dry rub.

Rub the dry rub mixture over both sides of the ribs, making sure to evenly coat them with the spices. Press the rub onto the ribs to ensure it adheres well.

Place the ribs in a zip lock bag or a covered container and let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least two hours, or overnight if possible. This will allow the flavours to develop and infuse into the meat.

Prepare your grill for indirect grilling. If using a gas grill, heat one side of the grill to medium heat and leave the other side off. If using a charcoal grill, arrange your charcoal on one side of the grill to create a hot zone and a cooler zone.

Place the ribs on the cooler side of the grill, bone side down. Close the lid and let them cook for about two-three hours, or until the meat is tender and starts to pull away from the bones. 

You can periodically baste the ribs with your favourite barbecue sauce, but be careful not to apply too much too soon, as it may burn.

Alternatively, you can wrap the ribs in aluminium foil after the first hour of cooking and continue cooking for another one-two hours. This will help them become even more tender.

In the last five minutes of cooking, move the ribs to the hot zone of the grill, bone side down. This will allow the sauce to caramelize and create a delicious crust.

Once the ribs are done, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Cut the ribs into individual portions and serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side. Enjoy!
