Victoria Beckham opens up about how she keeps romance alive with David Beckham

Victoria Beckham has opened up about how she keeps the romance alive with her footballer husband David Beckham in a candid letter to her future self.

The 46-year-old former Spice Girl, who has been married for David for almost 22 years and counting, reflected on the little things such as preserving a little bit of 'mystique' throughout the lockdown.

It comes over three years after the fashion designer wrote a letter in British Vogue addressed to her 18-year-old self.

In her latest, updated letter for Vogue, Victoria has now turned her attention to writing for her 'future self'.

In the candid letter, Posh reflected on the tips that she practised during the lockdown and how she liked the surprise of her doting husband.

"You’ve said f*** it, and put on a great dress and a smokey eye," Victoria spoke about being in lockdown.

"You always liked to surprise people – especially David. Preserving that bit of mystique is always helpful after almost 22 years of marriage. (What anniversary are you celebrating now?)"

Posh and Becks first met back in 1997 at the Manchester United players' lounge.

Over two years later, the lovebirds tied the knot and the couple have gone from strength to strength ever since.

In the touching letter to her future self, Posh also spoke about cherishing all the time that she was able to spend with her family in lockdown.

She added: "You’ve experienced more togetherness with your family than you ever imagined possible (all 293 days of it and counting), and it is something you’ll no doubt cherish."As well as spending lots of time with her family throughout 2020, the Beckhams also had cause to celebrate last year when Brooklyn proposed to his girlfriend Nicola Peltz.

The Beckhams are over the moon to be welcoming the actress to their family.
