It’s highly unlikely that someone would want to purposely sabotage their relationship. Some people are simply not aware of the toxic things they sometimes do to that poison their union.

There is no cure without diagnosis so being self-aware will improve your relationship tremendously.
Below are five things that some women do to push their men further away.
- Acting too needy
It’s okay to show your man constant love, but some women can go overboard. Needy behaviour includes being too available, constantly wanting all their attention, calling or texting too often, needing constant validation and reassurance, as well as jealousy.
People who feel a void in their life act needy and believe that another person can give them something that they can’t give themselves. Any void that you feel in your life should not be the responsibility of another person to fill. Always remember that you are whole and complete with or without a romantic partner.
- Nagging him
If the shoe was on the other foot, would you be okay with your partner constantly nagging you? If you repetitively have to complain about something on a daily basis, your problems are bigger than the issue at hand.
All you need to do is humbly express your request, clearly explaining what you want and why you want it. Nagging will not motivate a person to fulfil your requests, all it will potentially do is make the person on the receiving end stand their ground and simply ignore you until you stop being a nag.
- Begging for commitment
Desperation is a huge turnoff for men so acting like his girlfriend, when he officially hasn’t stated so, actually pushes him away. When a man is attracted to a woman who is not afraid to walk away from an unclarified situation, he’s much more likely to commit.
On the other hand, when a woman tries too hard to prove how amazing she would be as a girlfriend, or even as a wife, a man would not want to change the situation since he’s already benefitting from it without a real commitment. If you have to work too hard to prove to a man that he needs you in his life, he will never value you.
- Trying to change him
Trying to change someone only pushes them away from you because people are simply who they are. That is why it’s important to know whether or not you and your love interest are compatible before taking things a step further.
Compatibility is vital as it means that two people love each other, flaws and all. No one is perfect and, if you truly love them, you should be willing to live with everything that comes with them.
- Being selfish
People typically get into a relationship to achieve some sort of goal which could range from companionship to starting a business together. Some women tend to focus on their own selfish interests, making their partner feel like a tool to solely help them achieve their goals.
A relationship is not a “me” situation, it is a “we” partnership. You may do things for him on autopilot such as cooking and cleaning for him but these, and more, should be done from a genuine heart. The same way you would want your other half to be considerate towards you is the same way you should be selfless towards them.
