10 easy steps to achieve long eyelashes without false lashes:

Fashion and Beauty

 Long lashes
We, well most of us that is, want long, voluminous lashes that are the envy of the next girl.  But what happens when you aren’t blessed with the lash gene and really want the dramatic eyes without the falsies?

With dedication and commitment this is how.

Choose the right mascara

Based on the result you want to achieve, pick a mascara for that purpose whether it is for lengthening, volume boosting, separating or waterproof etc. Don’t be afraid to pick one that does all the above.

Curl, curl, curl

Curl your lashes before applying mascara and not the other way round or your lashes will fall out. To make your eyes look wider and lashes to look longer, start at the base of your lashes and pump in sections up to the tip for the best curl. Hold the curler horizontal to the floor rather than perpendicular which heightens the curl and aids longer-lasting wear.

Prep your mascara

Before application, use your hairdryer to slightly heat up your eyelash curler or hold it under hot water for a few seconds. Alternatively, you can place the mascara tube in your bra to warm it up or roll it in between your palms for a minute or so. It will give you a much smoother application.

Use fibers

For some crazy length and volume, try using fibers to extend your lashes. Apply a coat of mascara before applying a coat of fibers. Do these first two steps quickly so that more fibers stick to your mascara. Finish by applying another coat of mascara to cover the fibers.

Layering

For dramatic lashes, it's all about layering. Apply as many layers as you like and if you're worried about the lashes becoming too heavy use a lifting or curling formula to keep them from drooping.

Tightlining

Coat your brush with gel liner and push the liner onto the base of your upper lash line. This gives your eyes a very subtle lined look while making your lashes look fuller and thicker.

Show the corners some love

Use a mascara with a smaller wand or a ball-tip to help coat those harder-to-reach lashes. Making sure the lashes in your inner and outer corners are coated can really make a difference in how dramatic your lashes look.

Reduce clumps

Wiggle your mascara brush as you apply in small right and left motions. This separates the lashes and gives your lashes an even application.

Baby powder

To create a serious false impression, apply your regular mascara and while it is still wet, dust the tips of your lashes with baby powder using a Q-tip rolled in the powder. Apply a second coat of mascara and voila!

Grow your lashes

Wouldn’t it help if you had something to work with? On that note, try grow out your lashes by applying Vaseline or castor oil each night before you go to bed.
