Kenya Medical Research Institute (Kemri) is partnering with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders in awareness campaigns to combat the prevalence of Viral Hepatitis B (HBV).
The drives are part of programmes to commemorate this year's Hepatitis B day to be marked next Monday.
The initiative is aimed at preventing HBV, whose prevalence among blood donors has been rising over the last two years, surpassing that of HIV/Aids by three fold.
