Some twenty people have tested positive for the coronavirus today from 6,123 samples conducted in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry has said.
The country’s positivity rate is now 0.3 per cent with 323,160 total confirmed cases and 3,429, 326 cumulative tests conducted since the onset of the disease in 2020.
Another two people have also recovered. Total Covid-19 recoveries now stand at 317, 465.
Kenya has not recorded any Covid-19 related death today, placing the death toll at 5,644.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe added that over 17 million vaccines have so far been administered, and 262,831 booster doses across the country.
Only 28.6 per cent of the adult population is fully vaccinated.
This comes as Kenya lifts the mandatory wearing of masks in public places as the coronavirus daily caseload decreases.
The CS also directed that full in-person worship be restored but only for vaccinated persons.
