Detox your skin with clay

Lately, my face has been breaking out. I have tried a number of face-masks to reduce the pimples and spots but nothing seems to work. It has been bothering me since I have come to the conclusion that the source of the breakouts must be internal.

Our skin is a reflection of what's going on internally. In my quest to find a remedy, I came across something that would not only solve the problem internally but it would also rid my face of the breakouts and spots. This miracle remedy is bentonite clay.

Bentonite clay is made up of aged volcanic ash. When put in liquid, the clay produces an electric charge, causing it to expand like a sponge and this results in the absorption of toxins, heavy metals, impurities and acid.

At the same time, the clay releases minerals that are beneficial to the body. Bentonite is found in most detox and cleansing products. If taken right, the clay has an alkalizing effect on the body and it can balance bacteria in the gut.

Bentonite clay has the same effect on the skin; it draws out impurities from the skin tissue. Due to its ability to absorb, the clay helps remove excess sebum from the skin, and to shrink and tighten irritated and enlarged pores, leaving your skin clear and soft.

After just two weeks, the breakouts have stopped and my complexion has improved.

Note: When mixing the clay do not use metal utensils, as metal will reduce the effectiveness of the clay.

How to make Bentonite clay face-mask:

Mix two teaspoons of the bentonite with two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. The apple cider will help to balance the skins PH and improve the complexion. Add water and mix until it forms a thick smooth paste.

Apply the paste to clean, dry skin and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Your skin may feel a little dry and tight as it dries.

Wash of the mask with warm water and pat your skin dry. Follow up with a moisturizer.

This mixture can also be used on eczema and psoriasis.

The clay mask can be used twice a week.

How to detox with Bentonite:

Mix 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of the clay in a cup of water. Stir the clay in until it is dissolved. You can let it sit for a while before drinking. Make sure to drink this on an empty stomach and wait an hour before eating and two hours before taking any supplements or medication.

This has helped improve my digestion, stopped my breakouts. It also gives me an energy boost.
