And best break up line of the day goes to

Living
 What did you say?
Commitment is quite the big milestone, but please do not make it an excuse for laziness to make an effort. Most used break lines that we have heard, read, watched , seen and maybe used one time or the other;

Breaking up with someone is never easy, a break up marks the end of that relationship that you treasured, that you loved, that you had become comfortable with. It also marks the beginning of your single era, the time when you make room for the new person.

Or at least that is how the romantic movies make it seem.

In this our generation, break ups are more of a rehearsed play, like you can tell what he or she is about to say. We have created the ultimate break up scene with a list of lines that you can use and with the smartphone era of whatsapp, your break up is a text away because we do not even have the courtesy of a phone call.

I blame the nonsensical monotonous break up lines from television because seriously, no one even spends time to come up with a proper reason to break up with you anymore. It is literally like the options lawyers give you when filing for a divorce, "infidelity, irreconcilable differences, cruelty, abandonment and such and such. Our generation has managed to come up with its own list of acceptable break up lines, that we all have either used or someone has used them on us, but we definitely know them.

 How clever can one get?

Anyway, my point is, break ups are just sucky and annoying, and yes, I said sucky, and we have made them worse by scripting them to compensate for the our laziness.

For example, the most used break lines that we have heard, read, watched , seen and maybe used one time or the other;

The Classic " It's not you, It's me"

This is one of the most commonly used and very cliche ways of saying I really didn't want to tell you that I am just tired and bored of the relationship but I did not want you to feel bad about it either. It is over used and tired of it all, like really, you really could not just tell me the exact reason. It is the mother of all break up lines.

"I need to focus on my career right now"

Uhhm so do I, but I also want to date you...We all get it, we have dreams and careers but for real, some of these guys or girls tell you they want to focus on their career and you meet them two days later with a new catch on their arm or see them all over social media.

"We're better off as friends"

Truth be told, this just means they really just ain't into you. This is one way of saying, I am friendzoning you, I do not want to date you, I really see you as one of my buddies and that's that.

"I'm not ready for commitment"

This one really sucks, usually cause one of you is so into it and committed to making it work, hell, you probably are looking forward to your one year anniversary, then they hit you with the " We need to talk". These words aren't just lethal to guys you know, they stir us females up too. Then you start thinking about what they could possibly want to talk about.

I understand that commitment is quite the big milestone, but please do not make it an excuse for laziness to make an effort.

"I don't want to hurt you."

TSK...hello, no one wants to hurt anyone, I do not want to hurt you either, but Gee, thanks for letting me know

"I think we are moving too fast"

This screams ' I am terrified of imagining a future with you and I really do not want to go any further with this"

And it also screams, I'm just not that into you

"I think we should see other people"

He or she is probably already seeing someone else and doesn't want you finding out from other people.

" You deserve better than me"

Now we all know we have heard this once or twice or more times, they are really just trying to make sure you do not rage out on them. It is simple manipulation where they assure you you that being dumped is the greatest thing that could happen to you in that moment.

These are just some of them, the most commonly used scripted lazed out break ups.

But as time goes by, there's other sadistic people who actually have the audacity to make you feel like it is your fault, like those who tell you, "I think you need to get yourself together" Like seriously. For real, you are actually saying that.

We have made our lives a movie, scripted how relationships start and end, and how to move on from them as well, but that is a story for another day....
