Saudi Arabia: A year ago, Melsa Adhiambo Makhokha, 28, bade goodbye to her mother and her three children in Koyonzo Ngairu village, Mumias.

She was flying to Saudi Arabia to take up a new job as a house help.

On Saturday October 31, Melsa’s younger brother Denis Odhiambo Makokha got shocking news:

“This was the number I used to communicate with my sister and there was a message in broken English saying that Melsa had been involved in a car accident and was dead,” Denis told The Standard amid sobs.

Ms Adhiambo joins a long list of workers mysteriously killed in Saudi Arabia.
