What type of car do you drive?

A Toyota Mark X.

Did you pick the colours of choice?

Yes I did. White is one of my favourite colours so I definitely had to pick it for my car.

What do you love most about your car?

A lot of things, but I especially, love the sound system! I get lost in the music every time!

Does it have a nickname?

No. I think the Toyota Mark X is swagged up enough for her.

What soup-ups have you made to your car to give it a personal touch?

None so far. I was honestly quite excited when I got it and I have never felt the urge to customise it.

What girly stuff must you always carry in your car?

You are always bound to find lip gloss, baby wipes for my young one, emergency cash, and an extra pair of heels.

If you could change a few things about the car what would they be?

I’m still thinking about it, but there’s nothing much I can change. For now, I love it as it is.

What is your experience like driving in Nairobi?

It’s a jungle out here! Sometimes you just have to be as rough to get around some roads in this town, otherwise you’ll end up pissed and frustrated.

Which animal are you on the road, a cheetah or a tortoise?

I’m neither a cheetah nor a tortoise, is there a name for that?

The best destination you ever travelled to with your car is?

From Nairobi to Meru town with my friends! That was the best road-trip experience ever!

What is your ultimate dream car?

I love the BMW X6. It’s very classy and has such beautiful eyes, I love its breathtaking shape too.

If you were stranded on a highway with a flat tyre, would you fix it?

Yes! I would fix it but I might not want to get dirty or might be too lazy, so I’ll get help by calling my mechanic or passers-by to come help out.

If you had the privilege of a siren on your car, what outrageous thing would you do?

I hate sirens so, no thanks!

What do you do to kill time while in traffic?

Most times, I listen to music, or take tons of selfies!

What song do you get carried away listening to in your car?

‘I’m out’ by Ciara, because the bass in this song is awesome!

What habit would you not tolerate from people you carry in your car?

No smoking in my car and I cannot stand people changing the music on my radio. My ride, my rules.

What advice would you give a lady who wants to buy a car?

Honestly, buy a car that suits your needs. If you love it and know it will serve your needs, buy it!

On average, how much do you spend on fuel?

I spend about Sh15,000 monthly

What is the worst driving experience you have had?

This one time, some guys on Mombasa Road decided to attack us while driving and smashed the driver’s window, I was so scared! But we got away to safety.

What one thing have you learned about driving that you were not taught in driving school?

Everyone is in a hurry to get to their destination, that’s why I also learnt how to bully matatus and the Paradiso buses from Githurai. Those drivers are known to harass motorists on the roads.

What annoying driving habits have you observed on Kenyan roads?

Most people ignore the basic rules of taking roundabouts and it’s very annoying and inconveniencing for other drivers.
