Reverend Lucy Natasha has sought to clarify stories doing rounds on social media about a snake that allegedly slithered onto the pulpit during a prayer crusade in Embu. There were claims that a black snake with white spots was seen moving on the pulpit before it was doused in petrol and set on fire.

Natasha, a stunning beauty who many Kenyans claim is too hot to be on the pulpit, told The Nairobian that some sections of the media got the whole story wrong.

“It is true that a snake was seen during our recent meeting in Embu. But what was described in the media was partly twisted. I was among the preachers who prayed for this woman, and she was liberated” said Reverend Natasha.

“It was an interdenominational meeting at a social hall in Embu County. During the lengthy prayers that involved rebuking demons, this lady came out confessing that she had come with assorted paraphernalia,” said Natasha.

The reverend said the assorted paraphernalia included a small snake that left the congregation in shock.

“She rose up and confessed that she had some witchcraft items including a snake in the form of a jini. After praying for her, we burnt the snake and she was delivered,” recounted Natasha.

According to Natasha, the meeting was attended by more than 30 preachers from various denominations.

She added that, “It is a bit shocking that some people in this generation still believe in witchcraft. But through prayers they can be liberated.”

One of the preachers who was present during the session said:

“Upon interrogation, the woman said she was sent to scuttle the prayer meeting and the snake usually leads her. It was wrapped in some round object that had blood.

Natasha was on a four-day inter-denominational prayer meeting in Embu County that attracted hundreds of faithful, including popular gospel artistes from within and outside the country.

Natasha who took a brief break to speak to The Nairobian said that going round the country and other parts of the world to liberate the deprived is not an easy task, but she will not get weary spreading the gospel.
