Nairobi, Kenya: A mob beat up a man found taking pictures of naked children in Shauri Moyo Estate Kate Mueni, the mother of one of the children, said they had gone to play in a nearby field when the man showed up and begun taking pictures.
It is alleged that the man might have been attracted by the nudity of the playing children.
The children were aged between three and fives years.
“I was going to the nearby shop when I found the stranger taking photos of our children,
but when I confronted him, he told me off,” she told The Nairobian.
Young men standing nearby confronted the man and beat him up. He later escaped to the nearby Majengo slums.
“Our children are not statutes or animals to be photographed by strangers. Some might even use the photos to get money from donors or post them on Facebook,” Ken, one of the young men, said.
“It was his lucky day. Otherwise, we would have skinned him alive,” another resident said.
