Now for some good news for pregnant women, especially those who have to seek assistance in public facilities: a United States government agency has awarded 1.2 million dollars in grants to programmes meant to end cases of disrespect and abuse of women during child birth. Many poor women have in the past experienced harsh treatment at the hands of over-worked nurses in public hospitals. KTN’s Angel Katusia reports.
