Small changes in your fitness, health and lifestyle can actually help to give you that fit, healthy body you’ve been looking for.

These changes doesn’t necessarily require you to spend so much time in the gym or incur too much expenses on your lifestyle. It’s the small things you do daily that matters as longs as you squeeze in few minutes always to achieve a healthy weight and a nice body.

Here are few of them If lack of time, commitments and sudden appointments force you to abandon you regular exercise program, you can still achieve a nice full body workout by simply squeezing in at least 20 to 30 minutes of all your effort to do a cardio workout.

Just 20 to 30 minutes of daily cardio can give you a great workout throughout the week which as a result is good for your mental and physical well-being. It’s either you jog, walk, and get time to swim whenever feasible. If you are at work, try as much as possible to devote some of your lunch break to go out and break some sweat if it is at the gym or just walking around your block.

These simple routines will increase your heart rate and get your blood pumping and flowing. Try also to include strength training routines like doing simple squats, lunges, push ups and abdominal exercise, to work on your body toning.

Learn how to do breathing exercises. Studies on breathing exercises show that a few minutes of breathing exercises daily can lower blood pressure tremendously. Therefore breathing exercises which involve relaxation techniques such as meditations, yoga, visualisation, progressive muscular relaxation can help you activate your relaxation responses as long as you practice such exercises regular.

The exercises will help in reducing your stress levels while boosting feelings of serenity and inner peace. It will also teach you how to stay calm under stressful situations. Set aside a few minutes each day for your relaxation practice and as you do this, always breathe in deeply through your nose and out through your mouth in a very slowly repeated sequence.

Kick out all the excuses why you cannot eat well. Instead of always relying on fast food or ready to eat packed food, you can prepare healthy recipes just in a few minutes before you go to sleep to carry for your next lunch.
