Kim Kardashian is giving away $500,000 (Sh55.25 million) after what's been a tough year in a bid to spread the love.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 40, decided to end the year on a charitable note as she took to social media to announce the kind gesture.

Tweeting out a picture of the announcement, the mum-of-four penned: "Hey guys! 2020 has been hard and many are worried about paying rent or putting food on their table.

"I want to spread the love by sending $500 (Sh55k) to 1000 people."

"It's the most wonderful time of the year," the official announcement read.

"I know 2020 has been really hard and people are struggling, worried about how they're going to pay rent, put food on the table, or a gift under the tree for their kids," she added.

She urged followers to send her their Cash App tag identifier in order to be paid if chosen.

Kim's comments section was instantly flooded with requests from fans in need.

The reality TV star's kind gesture comes just days after she gave fans a sneak peek of her huge mansion, including the bedrooms of her four kids North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, two and one-year-old Psalm - whom she shares with husband Kanye West.

The proud mum's getting in the spirit of the season as she decks out the house with gorgeous decorations - that includes a tree for each of the kids.

Eldest North's room is very sophisticated for a girl of her age, boasting a deep pink theme, sprawling double bed and flanking wall-mounted mirrors.

Meanwhile, five-year-old son Saint's tree is wrapped up in white lights and adorned with plastic dinosaur toys.

Moving into Chicago's room, fans saw that the colour scheme is a far cry from North's.

Silver wallpaper, blinds and cushions are paired with a deep, fluffy chair, as well as a dressing table for the tot.
